Kanthanpara Waterfalls – Day 1
Its a Continuation of Day 1 and new readers can break out here for Day 1
After finishing our Lunch in a Restaurant with ” No options” 🙂 LOL , We decided to go for Kanthanpara waterfalls, as all of us were very tired and no way of walking any more as Soochipara Waterfalls required 3 KM of trekking both the ways.
Soochipara and Meenmutty
Wayanad has Plenty of Waterfalls to enjoy. Soochipara waterfalls and Meenmutty Waterfalls are prime attractions among them. But we didn’t go to these waterfalls as we heard from the guide and another family , that we need to walk for 3 KM up and down and it may not be suitable for ladies as it is very steep.
Kanthanpara Waterfalls – Entrance Charges
OK, let’s spill the beans about the header now, kanthanpara waterfalls does have trekking about 100m in theory, but it is not, I would say it’s almost close to 300M approx. We ask to step down in the rocks as they seem really unsafe and slippery to touch the seat. Absolutely not advisable for women and kids without proper direction. We arrived at the tail end of the waterfalls and took shower. It was really slippery. But the surrounding of the waterfalls was completely lush green with full of trees. But safety measures require to be improved here. The water seems very less but during monsoon we might see water roaring with its energy.
